Mind Wellness at Soho Wellness

“Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.”
Buddha

At Soho-Wellness we believe in living in the NOW with a positive and confident mind set, allowing us to create our future.  However, this is easier said than done.

Many of us are going through life changes, choices, confusion, and challenges in reaching our goals, we are often looking for something magical… or someone with powerful,  mystical answers from other sources…      Unfortunately there is no magic yet we have the power of our mind.

Hypnosis helps you unleash the awesome power of your own mind to realize your potential and live it.

Since the beginning of time, mothers have sung soothing lullabies while rocking babies in their arms. This repetitious melody and continuous motion are both calming and hypnotic.

The power of suggestion has motivated mankind since the beginning of recorded time.

At Soho-Wellness we work with you to make your own hypnotic recording of positive suggestions in how you want to be, how you want to feel and for you to visualize you life accepting these suggestions.

In ancient Egypt and Greece, and during the Roman Empire, as early as 1000 BC, sleep temples were places that priests introduced the procedure and practice of suggestion – sleep – cure, the belief that the mind can heal the body.

During the 1700’s, Viennese physician, Franz Anton Mesmer, developed the process of prolonged eye fixation to balance the animal magnetism, improved health in his patients, referred to as mesmerism.

In the 1800’s, English physician, James Braid, who studied Mesmer’s work and the practice of suggestibility, introduced the term “neuro-hypnosis” meaning nervous sleep, later coined the term “Hypnosis” as a new science for the very first time. James Esdaile, a Scottish surgeon, applied suggestion as hypnotic anesthesia in British East India to patients during surgery.

Indian culture acknowledges the concept of higher self, meditation, and other altered states of consciousness. Portuguese priest, Jose Custodia de Faria, referred to hypnosis as lucid sleep, determined that the better your concentration, the more easily you are hypnotized.

At Soho-Wellness discover how easy it is to go into the hypnotic state and feel fully in control and acutely aware of what is going on throughout the session.  Enjoy the experience and allow the process of change to begin …

Have you Suffered Enough ?

Having worked with thousands of clients, I have dealt with many issues, habits and symptoms and believe it or not, some people will keep suffering and hold onto their issue/problem/habit.  So much so, they look on me being the facilitator as the enemy, the one who is calling them out.   The question I ask myself, and my client, is "What are you getting out of having this behavior/issue/symptom ?" This is known in my world as the secondary gain or negative payoff in having their problem.  For many it…

What is Self-Esteem ?

Let me start off 2019 by looking back over thousands of client sessions which I have facilitated and look at what they all have in common - LOW SELF ESTEEM.  In fact, let us look at what Self Esteem really is.
