One of the many behaviors clients come to see me about is Hair Pulling. An irresistible urge to pull hair from your body, usually scalp and eyebrows. This is a learnt behavior, a subconscious response to certain negative feelings which come up throughout the day, at home, work or an educational environment. Many people hide this behavior as they feel embarrassed or ashamed and this spirals into guilt feelings which in turn, leads to further bouts of pulling – the pattern continues. As a Certified Hypnotherapist, I coach you to work directly with that part of your mind that keeps repeating your old habit of pulling your hair. Generally it may take up to 8 sessions. Stopping your pulling is your goal. When trichotillomania is no longer an issue and you feel empowered, then there is no need to continue with the sessions.
